Halloween has come and gone, Mariah Carey has been defrosted by costumed henchmen, and the holiday season is upon us, which means the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is just around the corner.

Every year, millions gather on the streets of New York City to marvel at the ornate floats, building-sized balloons, and seemingly endless array of performers, from clowns to cheerleaders to celebrated crooners. This year is no different, with the 97th annual Macy’s Parade boasting over 100 acts and attractions in its legendary lineup.

How to Watch the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

If you’re not among the lucky millions gathering to watch the annual holiday celebration in person, don’t worry! It’s easy to watch the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade from home.

First, take note that it begins 30 minutes earlier than usual this year. On Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 23), the parade will kick off at 8:30 a.m. ET. After all 25 balloons, 31 floats, 18 performers, and 29 clown crews have traveled the 2.5-mile route, Santa Claus will bring the parade to a close at 12 p.m. ET. If you’d rather sleep in on Turkey Day, you can catch the encore parade at 2 p.m. ET.
